An entry level system starts at $6k, those who want good specs need to shell out $10k-15k. My prediction was that apple would continue x86 in the form of macpro, but would keep it priced out of the market for normal consumers. When Apple stops producing Intel Macs, as I’ve no doubt they will, then the idea that there will only be one more version would certainly fit with Apple’s past track record. Apple are still producing Intel Macs at this point in time, so this speculation doesn’t quite make sense.
